When designing and building our fire safe meetingbox, we paid close attention to safe placement and everyday use. All components have been thoroughly tested for fire behaviour. The materials used, such as PET felt, carpet tiles, insulation and aluminium, have been examined by certified bodies including SGS.
These tests were carried out according to international ISO standards, ensuring reliable and objective results. The conclusion is clear: the materials used are fire retardant. They do not ignite easily and contribute to a safe working environment, both inside and outside the box.
Aluminium is naturally non-combustible, while PET felt panels and carpet tiles react in a controlled way when exposed to heat. In practice, these materials char or smoulder slowly without catching fire directly. This ensures that the construction of our boxes forms a solid and safe foundation.
Safe in use: sliding doors that always open
A common question from our customers is: “What happens to the door during a fire or power outage?” Since our boxes use automatic sliding doors, the concern is understandable. Fortunately, we can reassure everyone: users will never be trapped inside.
Our meeting boxes are equipped with magnetic sliding doors with low resistance. This means the doors can always be opened with minimal force, even with just two fingers. This smart design makes the doors comfortable in daily use while remaining completely reliable in emergency situations.
Even during a power failure or fire, the doors can be opened manually without any tools. This guarantees user safety at all times. This combination of safety, ease of use and reliability makes our boxes the ideal choice for anyone who values comfort and peace of mind.
Fire retardancy that protects inside and out
Thanks to the use of fire retardant materials, any fire is prevented from spreading quickly. If something inside the box were to ignite, the flames cannot easily spread to the outside. In the event of a fire, it is advisable to close the doors, as this reduces oxygen intake and slows down fire development.
The construction also offers protection in the opposite situation. If a fire breaks out outside the box, the likelihood of the box catching fire is very low. This is due to the aluminium structure and the previously mentioned fire retardant layers. As a result, our boxes offer added security for organisations that prioritise employee safety and well-being.
Clear communication and safe delivery
During the installation of each box, our technicians take the time to advise users personally. They explain how the doors work, how the emergency buttons function and what happens during a power outage. This information can also be found in the general terms and conditions, but it is always explained verbally upon delivery. There is plenty of room for questions, which ensures that every user feels confident and informed.
For lactation rooms and a few other models, the door can be locked from the inside. In those cases, we install an emergency button on the outside. If someone inside is unable to respond, the door can always be opened from the outside. Our boxes do not require special maintenance to remain fire safe. The electrical components are designed safely and remain reliable as long as they are not tampered with. This keeps the risk of short circuits or wire damage minimal.
